Golfing!

Matt and I went golfing at Mallard Creek on Sunday. It was fun, but really HOT! We went at 3:30 in the afternoon, not the best time I know, but we did house stuff all morning so the afternoon was better. Anyhow I think i am going to really like golf, but i am going to get lessons to help me a bit..... or a lot! I am borrowing our neighbors' wife's clubs to make sure I like the game before we buy myself some clubs. I think it will be a great thing for Matt and I to do together now and as we get older. (My honey is turning 30 this next month !!!!!) Whoo Hooo

I know i haven't posted in a while but nothing new has really been going on. just enjoying some nice weather. We went to Jen and Mike's cabin a few weeks ago to celebrate her birthday and as always had a great time. We are trying to convince Mike that he needs to find another "cabin" for the summer! It is Soo great spending time with such great friends. I can not believe that almost all the snow is gone. The house looks different with out all the snow. So we couldn't sled or ski but we hung out and played games and ate good food. Good times!

Call me a blogstocker but.......

this is very inspiring! I came upon this blog http://www.cfhusband.blogspot.com/ about 2 months ago while doing some searches on premeeies, transplants and pregnancy. I have been following ever since because I find it incredable. ANYTHING is possible. Check it out if you like I am sure you will be moved as well.
Tomorrow I am having a test done to try and determine the reason why matt and i are not conceiving on our own. wish me luck. I don't like any type of procedure as i have had too many in my life. But I am slightly anxious about this one. Hopeing it will give us some answers and then we can move on to the next step. This can be such a long process :( I will keep everyone posted on the outcome. Until next time, enjoy this spring weather! I know I am.

March is National Kidney Disease Awareness Month

Today is World Kidney Day. I wasn't aware there was such a day but I guess today is the day. I did not know my kidneys were failing until I only had 75 % function left. Still enough to live on but they continued to fail. That was March 1997 and by July 1997 I was on hemodialysis. It happened very fast and I was very young, only 21. I didn't do very well on dialysis and had everything go wrong that could possibly go wrong. I spent a year in and out of the hospital living life on dialysis, 3 hours a day 3 days a week :( Although I had 3 matchs ( mom, dad, and brother) to donate I had to get well enough to go through the surgery. Luckily I was able to stick with it and on my 22nd birthday I received the gift of life from my mom. She gave me life 22 years before and again 22 years later. The BEST birthday gift I have ever received. Thanks mom! I made a very long story short and cut out all the stuff I wish I could forget, but I just felt like celebrating my tx today. I am greatful everyday for the second chance at life and today I am thinking about all the hundreds of thousands of people waiting for a second chance at life, as well as all the donors and donors' families who may have to make a very difficult decision . So if you haven't signed your donor card yet please do so, most importantly tell your family your wishes because the signature on the drivers license is not enough. As the saying goes...... "don't take your organs to Heaven, Heaven knows we need them here on earth "! I wouldn't be here today without my mom making the choice to donate.
Happy World Kidney Day!
Thanks for reading my story and say a prayer for everyone waiting for a second chance at life.

I want a vacation!

I was looking at the pictures on our computer and came upon our cruise trip from a 1 1/2 yeas ago. If we aren't going on vacation now then I will remember our great vacation then. We had such a great time, we traveled the western caribean and saw Haiti, Jamaica, Cozumel, and our favorite, Georgetown Grand Caymen. It was fun to see all the different countries. We defiantly want to go back to Grand Caymen and spend 7 days on 7 mile beach. Ahhh, sounds like heaven! This was the first time going on a cruise for both of us. We had a great time and would love to do the eastern caribean. A cruise can be very relaxing!
We always plan a vacation every year but this year we are going to try to have a baby so the vacation is on hold for now, hopefully not forever. But it may take up our vacation fund for this year but defiantly well worth it. We are going to go to disneyland in May with my parents and my brothers family, thanks to my parents. So at least we have a small get away planned, it will be fun, I love disneyland.
Sorry this post was boring but not much new in the ensworth house and I was dreaming of a sunny place and a nice tan! enjoy the pictures I know I did :)

caution.... you will want a vacation after this!

our "new friend" wants to sell us something!
