37 years ago these high school sweethearts were married! Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! Thanks for being such great parents and role models in my life. I have always felt so blessed to have you both as my parents. Enjoy your special day!
And 12 years ago today this sweet little girl was born and we couldn't have been more excited to welcome her into our family. I can't believe you are 12 years old already! Wow how time flies! You are growing into such a nice young lady. Always stay as sweet and caring as you are today. I feel lucky to be your auntie. Happy 12th birthday Hanna!

Nevada County Fair

We went to the fair on Friday and Sunday with friends. I love going to this fair. It brings back soo many memories. We looked at the horses and chickens and all the other animals and ate ALOT of good food. The corn dogs are great! Picked up a few christmas gifts along the way at some booths. We passed on the rides, it seems to affect us differently as we get older :) All and all it was a good time.

You might be a redneck.......

if you enjoy watching people demolish their cars! Well Matt and I find this really fun to watch. But I hope we are not considered rednecks! This is the Destruction Derby at the Nevada County Fair. I have been going to these since I was little and I took Matt for the first time a few years ago. He loved it. Here are a few of the highlights of last night. The beginning of the "race". The cars don't look too bad. Matt picked # 13, the yellow and orange car, from the beginning.
The radiators were usually the first to blow!
# 13 just crushed # 1 million! Can you believe there was a person inside! Brave or stupid I am not sure which.
these cars were the two that went till the very end and the black one was super fast! # 13 won because the black car went out of bounds for too long. Usually the race goes till only one car is moving.

We had a great time and will probably go next year. Anybody else?

Happy Birthday to my sweet friend Heidi !

Heidi, you are the sweetest person I know. I cant believe we have been friends since our freshmen year of English. Ugh... that class was torture but you made it so fun everyday. Thinking back to all the great memories we had, like almost drowning in the lake while WE had to pull the guys to shore in the paddle boat, WHAT were we thinking! Thank goodness those days are in the past. Then dancing around in our Chico apartment with Jen as well as showing off "Moves I Have Never Seen Before" at the Bear. We had such good times. Now you are a mommy to 2 beautiful kids and we are still the best of friends. I feel blessed to have a friend like you .

Water Park Overload

So after spending the day at the water park with Crystal on Wednesday, my niece Hanna called and wanted me to take her and her friend Toria to the park on Thursday. I of course said yes and I spent another day just lounging in the sun. I am so glad i was able to take them, they had a great time. Let me know girls when you want to go again!
